If you have never heard about paintless dent repair (PDR), it is simply a method of taking small dents out of your vehicle's body panels without requiring a repaint. In most cases, as long as the paint surface isn't "broken" by whatever caused the damage, and as long as the dent itself isn't too large, paintless dent repair can be used to fix the problem.
The small dents normally associated with hail damage are typically ideal for paintless dent repair to be used successfully, saving quite a bit of time, material, and therefore expense.
PDR requires a qualified technician to gain access to the back side of the dent and, using several types of long probes, press the dent out of the metal. It requires patience and a deft touch, but many dents can can be removed this way, even those you don't imagine.
If the tech can't access the backside of the dent, or if the dent is too large or is on a body panel crease, the dent most likely isn't repairable using PDR.
